"building is a biological process.
building is not an aesthetic process."
-Hannes Meyer, 1928
Architectural design exists as an alternative to the prose of human existence, common as the phrases turned through centuries of changing behavior, pushed into a three-dimensional realm, affecting and motivating the inhabitants of our modern culture. Today, architecture is a network of synchronized forms embodied by computer generation and technological advancement, often mirroring the new social psyche or rejecting it - while wholistically embracing the new paradigm of interactive construction. These works frame or challenge the role of design in our contemporary milieu, harmonizing with media-fueled aspirations or dissenting from the retinue.
